The IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society-sponsored IEEE P1752.1™ project started work in February 2018. People from around the world participated in the Working Group, which developed a standard document and standardized representations (schemas) for sleep measures, physical activity measures and metadata. The draft schemas are published on the 1752 IEEE OpenSource website.
Both draft document and schemas have been ballot-approved earlier this year and are now with IEEE Review Committee, the penultimate step in the IEEE SA standard development process.
In the meantime, the work continues. IEEE P1752.2™, Standard for Mobile Health Data: Representation of Cardiovascular, Respiratory, and Metabolic Measures will kick off on Tuesday, July 6 at 8 am Pacific / 11 am Eastern time. The virtual meeting will last 1 hour. Working Group Chair, co-founder of Open mHealth, Dr. Ida Sim will introduce the project and describe plans for realizing it.
To receive the invitation to the kick-off meeting, join the 1752 listserv. Instructions on how to do that are detailed at the bottom of the IEEE P1752 Working Group website.
Whether or not you can attend the kick-off meeting, join the listserv to get invited to future meetings, learn how the project progresses and how you can contribute to it.
